This is Arisa, our Perfectly Good Home’s energetic journalist with great interest in real world stories and well researched reporting. She completed her degree in Mass Communication from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. After her degree’s compilation, she realised her interest lied more towards covering stories about different kinds of homes, their stories, and how they influence our daily life. This is also how she began her career as a journalist in this field, covering everyday topics related to homes, and everything around it. This helped her shape her writing in a practical and reader-friendly way. One of her skills is that, through her writing, she makes sure to cover all the facts, verify sources to provide authentic content, and create balanced narratives for her readers. And over the years, her content got published on many digital platforms.

Meet Alan Rickman, the editor at Perfectly Good Home. With a strong background in digital content and SEO structure, he makes sure the content that’s being published checks all the quality marks. After completing his studies in publishing and creative writing from the University of Baltimore. There, he learned how thoughtful writing and editing work together. After Alan started his editing career, he slowly found his way to home decor and other interior topics. He realised that as much as those unique and creative ideas, structure and flow matters too. In this editorial work, his task is to focus on improving the readability, fact accuracy, and whether it aligns with readers' search intent or not. When working, Alan’s face is something you should see. One look and you’ll know he’s into his work zone - those focused eyes and stoic face. But in reality, Alan is a pretty sweet guy who loves plants. Like once he got a plant related content to edit and he was like all excited. If you ask him one question regarding plants on his table, he will not shut up. But that’s what makes Alan all the more interesting and valuable part of our team.

This is Jake Comito, a writer at Perfectly Good Homes with a passion for conveying his thoughts in a fascinating way. He’s the one responsible for turning those simple everyday home decor ideas into brilliant, engaging ones. He studied creative writing from the New York University where he developed a strong foundation in narratives, a story telling structure to keep his content readers focused. Best thing about Jake’s writing style is how he makes sure to keep things simple yet formal, but still easy to visualise and relatable. When you read his blogs, you will feel like you’re talking to him directly. He loves simplifying complex topics, through his research skills, he makes sure that his content helps readers find the answers. There’s one motto he goes by - “A good writing should make the reader feel understood instead of overwhelming them.” But when Jake is free, he’s the most goofiest person you’ll ever know! This is Jamie, our beautiful and adorable interior designer and writer at Perfectly Good Home. She’s someone who believes that a good house design consists of comfort + style + practical. So that’s how she brings all those unique ideas and hacks for your homes to help you design your space into something you would love to live in. With a background in interior designing, Jamie had this clear idea of how a layout, color, and small details worked. She takes inspiration from her real experiences that she had with her clients and focuses on creating content that balances style with everyday functionality. When you read her content, you’ll see how she’s so straightforward when it comes to problems, but also at the same time very relatable and understanding. That’s how Jamie is in real life too! A very kind and helpful person of our team, but at times, when she’s in a mischievous mood, her witty comebacks are absolutely cherry on top!

Meet Luis, the UX Designer of Perfectly Good Home, in short, he’s the one who brought Perfectly Good Home into existence. After completing his studies in User Experience Design at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), he has worked on so many projects. This gave Luis enough idea on how people interact with the websites, how small changes in the website can impact a user’s experience. Let’s not go into technical details or terms that Luis has to deal with or it’ll get a bit too complicated. For now, understand this - his work is to focus on optimizing the website to ensure your journey is smooth and enjoyable when you visit our website. By creating a clean and intuitive layout which then helps improve overall user experience. But during his free time, you’ll find Luis checking out other websites, going through their layouts, and things like that, which can help him create better results. Aside from this, he loves to travel. Like A LOT!

This is Harry Tanner, an experienced publisher at Perfectly Good Home. The one who makes sure everything is going in the right direction. After gaining hands on experience in editorials and media publishing, he came across our website and what got him interested were those content architectural styles and those detailed color reviews. He is always fascinated by how the writers create such unique and helpful content. So he wanted to make sure their efforts shine better when they get published. Harry works behind the scene with the writers, to understand their perspective better and how it’s going to be presented. His intent on making sure the published content reflects what the writer wanted to show through their content. When Harry is done with his work, you’ll find him chatting with Alan while sipping coffee. Other than this, Harry always ends the week with a fun Friday. And this actually helps everyone in the team to loosen up and head into the weekend with a smile.
